San Diego’s iconic Music Box is set to host a historic musical residency this January featuring the soulful and captivating singer/songwriter Joe Marson. The exclusive three-night event, presented by CORE Creatives, will showcase a stellar lineup of headlining acts, including Con Brio, SHRiNKRAY, and the legendary Reverend Shawn Amos. Local talent will also be prominently featured, adding a unique flavor to each night of this groundbreaking residency.
Joe Marson, celebrated for his genre-blending music and compelling performances, will grace the Music Box stage on January 10th, 17th, and 31st, promising an unforgettable experience for San Diego's diverse and vibrant music scene. Marson’s residency is a testament to Music Box’s commitment to providing a platform for top-tier talent and enriching the local musical landscape.
Con Brio, a high-energy soul-funk-rock ensemble from San Francisco, will kick off the residency on January 10th. Local singer-songwriter Francis Blume, known for raw and transparent lyricism, will open the stage, setting the tone for an electrifying night.
On the second night, January 17th, the three-piece eclectic fusion band SHRiNKRAY will take center stage, delivering melodic songs and catchy lyrics. The residency continues its exploration of diverse musical styles, creating an immersive experience for attendees. Opening the night is artist Nubella Honey, a local San Diego band that fuses funk, pop, soul, and rock and roll.
Closing out the residency on January 31st is blues and soul powerhouse Reverend Shawn Amos, renowned for his soul-touching vocals and harmonica instrumentalism. Joe Marson will headline the final show, ensuring a grand finale to this unprecedented musical event. Opening for this remarkable night is the fiery soul rock artist Ash Easton, recipient of the 2023 San Diego Music Award for Best New Artist.
